GENERAL
All of RUUD® AIR CONDITIONING DIVISION'S products come with a written limited warranty on parts. The warranty provides that a replacement will be furnished for any part of the product which fails in normal use and service during the applicable warranty period specified, in accordance with the warranty's terms. The RUUD replacement part is warranted for only the unexpired portion of the original warranty.

All parts are warranted for a period of FIVE (5) YEARS after the effective date, except for the following specified product parts. 5 Years applies to single-phase equipment installed in residential applications - all other is ONE (1) YEAR.


EFFECTIVE DATE
The effective date is the date of installation if properly documented; otherwise, it is the date of manufacture plus six (6) months.

Where do I purchase an extended warranty?
To be fair to our RUUD dealers we are unable to supply retail pricing for the Protection Plus extended service contract(s). This is a negotiable price between you and the selling RUUD dealer. Why do I need Extended Service Protection?
Even the highest quality equipment may experience mechanical or electrical failures. Even a minor repair could cost more than the price of an entire Extended Service Contract. Coverage is now also available on electronic air cleaners and humidifiers.

Protection Plus™ allows you to extend the limited warranty on your RUUD® equipment up to 10 years with no

deductible. Coverage begins on the expiration date of your RUUD limited warranty (typically five years for parts).

What Protection Plus Plans are Available?
There is a variety of Protection Plus plans for you to choose from to maximize your comfort and peace of mind.
Platinum Plan: Parts - Years 6 - 10 and Labor - Years 2 - 10
Gold Plan: Labor only Years 2 - 5 or Years 2 - 10
Sterling Plan: Parts Only - Years 6 - 10
Bronze Plan: Labor Only - 2nd Year
